2017 Capital Conference
The Board of the Central PA AFP Chapter is offering 2 individual full scholarships to attend this year’s conference, Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the Radisson Hotel Harrisburg
Scholarship submission deadline is September 15, 2017.
The committee will review applicants who have a need, and who present a compelling case as to why they should be selected.

Chamberlain Scholarship Program
The AFP Foundation for Philanthropy is proud to offer the Chamberlain Scholarship Program. This program is designed to help individuals serving nonprofit organizations develop their knowledge and skills in fundraising.
The AFP Central PA Chapter will select one qualified scholarship applicant to attend the 2018 conference and will also provide $500 to assist with travel and lodging costs. The chapter will select a Chamberlain Scholarship recipient based on the following criteria:
- Be a member of the AFP Central PA Chapter.
- Be a first-time attendee at an AFP International Fundraising Conference.
- Be willing to provide a written report to the chapter members for the Web site, as well as, make a short presentation to the chapter on your experience at the conference.

Diverse Communities Scholarship Program
Congratulations to AFP Central PA Chapter member Crystal Brown who has been selected as one of 23 Diverse Communities Scholars by AFP International! Crystal has been awarded a scholarship to attend the AFP International Conference in New Orleans on April 15-17, 2018.
The AFP Foundation for Philanthropy is pleased to once again offer the Diverse Communities Scholarship program for members of diverse communities to attend the AFP International Fundraising Conference in New Orleans, LA, April 15-17, 2018. The application process will open September 1 – October 31, 2017. This fund is broken out into three categories:
- African American
- Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender (GLBT)
- General Diversity Fund
AFP is pleased to offer $1,500 scholarships ($799 conference registration fee + some travel expenses) for each of the currently identified AFP diverse communities.
AFP is now accepting applications for these diversity scholarships.

Selected candidates will be notified by email by December 1, 2017.
