2018 Capital Conference Call for Presenters

September 26, 2018 / Eden Resort & Suites, Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Featuring Keynote Presenters: Jen Love and John Lepp from Agents of Good

The Central Pennsylvania Chapter Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Susquehanna Valley Council of Charitable Gift Planners are seeking dynamic, engaging and knowledgeable presenters for the 2018 Capital Conference.

Proposals are solicited for 75‐minute educational sessions on best practices and innovative techniques in all aspects of development. Sessions may be offered by an individual or a team of a presenters.

The Capital Conference is a partnership conference between the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Susquehanna Valley Council for Charitable Gift Planners. Presentations relating to any facet of fundraising, planned giving, volunteer engagement, ethics, advocacy, etc. are welcomed.

A modest travel reimbursement budget is available for presenters coming from more than 50 miles away from the venue. Priority for these funds is given to new voices and innovative topics. Consultants are encouraged to make an effort to co‐present with a professional from the nonprofit sector.

Please submit your proposal by April 30, 2018 for consideration.

Proposals must include the following:

1. Your name, contact information, bio or resume (if applicable, also provide co‐presenter’s information)

2. Working title of the presentation

3. Brief summary/outline of presentation including educational goals

4. Target Audience

 New to profession ‐ beginner

 Intermediate professional

 Seasoned professional – advanced

 Leadership Volunteer (Board/Committee member)

All levels (general)

5. List of any sessions you have previously presented for AFP or any other fundraising‐related organizations

Completed proposals can be emailed to AFP Chapter Administrator afpcentralpa@gmail.com

In an effort to minimize paper copies, presenters are required to provide their presentation three weeks in advance so they may be posted electronically for the Capital Conference attendees.
